Federata themeluar ne Shqiperi me 2005

Badminton si posrt eshte luajtur qe dy mije vjet me pare ne greqine e lashte, Indi dhe Kine , emrin si sport e ka mare nga Badminton House ne Gloucestershire, Shtepia e Dukes se Beaufort, ku ky sport filloi te luhej shpesh gjate shekullit te kaluar.

- Ndeshja me e gjate e badmintonit midis nje lojtari danez Peter Rasmussen dhe nje lojtari kinez Sun Jun, zgjati 124 minuta ndersa ndeshja me e shkurter vetem 6 minuta.
- Badminton beri debutin e pare ne Lojrat Olimpike me 1992 dhe eshte pare ne TV nga me shume se 1.1 miliarde shikues.
- Badminton ka rekord per topin fluturues me te shpejte :
Mads Pieler Kolding nga Danimarka leshoi topin me te shpejte me nje shpejtesi prej 426 km ne ore ne nje ndeshje te Premier League ne Bangalore Indi, kjo ne vitin 2017.
